We are looking for a unique person to serve as our first dedicated Director, Strategic Partnerships reporting into both the CMO and CEO with a focus on cultivating existing partnerships and growing new alliances across all avenues of the business. This will include elements involved including brand partnership deals, email acquisitions, sponsorships and audience expansion. This is someone experienced in business development and deal-making who knows the Conservative space.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify industry landscape across multiple verticals - digital media, think tanks, independent personalities and all else within the ‘Top 20 Most Influential’ in the media landscape
  • Understand each current brand partnership, and explore areas of growth/cultivation
  • Open up new partnerships being involved in all aspects of dealmaking from original exploration of ideas, assessing return of various initiatives (i.e., email vs. banner ads vs. native advertising vs. press vs. appearances) and deal completion
  • Responsible for full implementation, ROI assessment and follow-up with ongoing partnership communication
  • Evaluate each potential partner with a specific lens focused on areas of opportunity:
    • Could PragerU/PragerU Kids advertise on their platform? What are the available options and ROI?
    • Could these partners partner with us to provide content to our followers?
    • Is there an opportunity for us to garner earned media by having our key Personalities appear on their platform?
  • Work closely with other internal divisions (Press, PragerU Kids outreach) to maximize opportunities beyond core PragerU brand expansion

Successful Candidates Will Possess:

  • 10+ years of overall professional work experience
  • Thorough understanding and passion for the Conservative space, including knowledge and ideally relationships with all the big players
  • Significant business development experience in similar roles, and ideally some years of experience within a Conservative media entity in any capacity
  • Understanding of digital media landscape, experience with email partnerships, digital advertising and deep social media understanding
  • Impeccable organizational and communication skills with ability to project manage
  • Ability to brainstorm, and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with all levels of the organization, including Senior Leadership
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Passion for PragerU's mission to further our cause and familiarity with the concepts espoused in our digital content

Salary Range: The salary target for this role is $150,000-$175,000+. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, in addition to our robust benefits package. The final candidate hired may potentially have less or more experience than originally posted as per job description, and if this happens, an updated salary range may be used for final hiring package.
