PragerU is proud to announce the launch of PragerUKids. This is a newer program in our organization dedicated to bringing parents the resources, support, and edutainment to teach children about America’s blessings and limitless opportunities. Our aim is to inoculate children against the indoctrination being taught in government schools today, and we will do this through a variety of edutainment content/programming, live events, newsletters, and community. We have a unique niche in providing supplemental educational material for children, all of which is non-partisan in nature.

The Kids Education and Curriculum Director reports directly to the CEO and will oversee all aspects of the creative writing cycle, including research, writing, and revising.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using your ability to recognize and curate excellent educational materials as well as your subject matter knowledge across various disciplines and subjects, ensure that programming is:
    • Consistent with our mission
    • Aligned to pro-America, Judeo-Christian values
    • Factually accurate and inerrant
    • Written at an age-appropriate level
    • Entertaining for young (and old) audiences
  • Manage content line creation for:
    • CIVICS for each grade group (K-2, 3-5, 6+)
    • HISTORY for each grade group (K-2, 3-5, 6+)
    • Other PragerU content verticals (limited government, western civilization, economic freedom, patriotism, etc.) for each grade group (K-2, 3-5, 6+)
  • Manage both in-house and freelance writers who create various content - narrative stories, scripts, biographies, children’s books, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Recent experience teaching or working with elementary or junior high students
  • Understanding of pain points felt by parents of school age children
  • Excellent ability to recognize and assess quality storytelling and adjust others’ writing as necessary
  • Strong understanding of classical education
  • Ability to express knowledge and value of the tenants of Western Civilization
  • Ability to recruit, manage and cultivate creative talent
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to write in a way that speaks to young audiences, balancing education and entertainment (“edutainment”)

Salary Range: The salary target for this role is $100,000 - $150,000. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, in addition to our robust benefits package.
