The Digital Asset Manager (DAM) Librarian at PragerU is a specialized role for an individual with expertise in organizing, cataloging, and managing digital assets within a Digital Asset Management system. This position calls for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for information organization and technology. The successful candidate will have a proven track record for handling a vast array of digital content in an efficient and secure manner, including conceptualizing and executing new systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as lead project manager for digital asset management system use, working closely with IT and cross-functional team members.
  • Analyze current needs and process holes, and help build and implement systems suited to the needs of the organization.
  • Log and maintain a rapidly expanding library of stock footage, photos, music, and sound effects, both original and purchased. Database all resources in ways that make them available to the right teams at the right times, eliminate duplicates, and ensure user friendliness.
  • Help establish cold storage capabilities, and oversee file movement between hot and cold storage. Work closely with Post-Production and IT personnel to properly move project files, footage, and other assets. Anticipate needs and protect limited hot server space while also making sure any working assets are readily accessible.
  • Liaise with personnel on other teams to create effective cross-departmental systems.
  • Facilitate the migration of legacy digital assets and metadata.
  • Help maintain and update user access, system configurations, and security protocols.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for digital asset and metadata management
  • Provide expertise in metadata standards, cataloging, and classification, and server organization.
  • Create and manage workflows for digital asset ingestion, storage, retrieval, and distribution.
  • Prepare technical documentation and guides for users.

Successful Candidates Will Possess:

  • 3-7 years of experience in digital asset management or equivalent field.
  • Firm experience with digital asset management systems and metadata standards.
  • Experience with IT and media management within a digital library context.
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively against deadlines
  • Highly organized, solution-focused, and a self-starter
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and wear many hats with a "do whatever it takes" attitude
  • Adhere to established processes and structures, and able to think critically and make suggestions for improvements when required.
  • Willing and able to take direction from different leaders but also bring his/her ideas and thoughts to the table.

Salary Range: The salary target for this role is $75,000 to $100,000. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, in addition to our robust benefits package. The final candidate hired may potentially have less or more experience than originally posted as per job description, and if this happens, an updated salary range may be used for final hiring package.
